We are referring here to holes which were professionally drilled at the factory not to the small holes that
piece's need to allow for cooling, which prevents cracking. The hole's we are referring to is the larger hole probably to
convert into lamps which were all the rage from 1900's onwards. Also it was to remove the Royal Dux Bohemia triangle, anything
to remove the identity thus it increased sales, a majority of pieces were glued to a base hiding the Royal Dux triangle. This
information was submitted by Barry Templeman.

Consider the last four piece's we can date piece's providing they are from the original mould. Therefore piece's with
moulds numbers between 862 and 1327 can be dated either 1904 or 1905.

Some more important information is that over the years the factory liked to use their moulds over and over again. This
sometimes can cause problems when dating pieces, we can normally tell by the markings on the base, how detailed the features
are and by what glazes were used.
Left - This piece mould number 2262 dates from 1918-1938 we know this because the country of origin

Left and Right - Consider this piece mould number 862, it was in the world exibition at st louis in
1904 and won a grand prix prize. It is believed that this is an original because of its lack of colours/glaze.

Left - This piece dated 1904 with a mould number 1032 was made by H. Schubert we know this because he
is the only modeller known to date his pieces and also that he worked at the factory in 1904.
Left - Now this piece dated 1905 mould number 1128 run 10 by Schubert this piece may not be
the original but still dated before 1918.

This means the company produced approximately 450 moulds a year which would be aproximately one made every day(not counting
weekends). This proves that production was very good between these years.
